2017 Hebei University of Technology PhD Program Application
for Self-founded International Students
一、招生专业：
河北工业大学博士研究生专业一般采用汉语授课，部分专业可进行英语授课，学制3-4年，完成学业、符合学位授予条例各项要求的毕业生将获得博士学位。学校鼓励申请人提前自行联系我校相关专业导师。
二、申请截止时间：2017年6月20日。以在截止日期前收到书面申请材料为准。
三、报名费：600元
学费：经管类专业人民币28,000元/年，理工类专业人民币30,000元/年。
住宿费：校内住宿（双人间- 30元/床/天；单人间-50元/床/天）
四、申请资格：
1.申请者必须是非中国籍公民，持有效外国护照。
2.申请者必须身体健康，品行端正，遵守中华人民共和国的法律、法规和我校的规章制度。
3.申请者必须已获硕士学位，年龄一般在45周岁以下（身体健康、有一定工作经验和学术研究能力者年龄可适当放宽）。
4.汉语授课的申请者汉语水平需达到HSK4级190分以上水平，或HSK5级以上。
5.英语授课的专业对申请者汉语水平不作要求,母语为非英语国家的申请者TOTEL成绩不低于85分或IELTS成绩不低于6分。
五、申请材料：
1、完整填写《河北工业大学来华留学生入学申请表》。
2、个人普通护照复印件。
3、《河北工业大学来华留学生指导教师接收函》。
4、经过公证的高学历证明和成绩单。如申请人为在校学生，需提交本人就读学校出具的在学证明，录取后需补交学历证明原件或公证件。
5、《外国人体格检查记录》复印件。
6、汉语授课专业申请者提供HSK等级证书复印件；英语授课专业申请者提供TOEFL或IELTS成绩证明（母语为英语者无须提供）。
7、来华学习和研究计划，用中文或英文书写（不少于800字）。
8、两位教授或副教授的推荐信（中文或英文撰写）。
9、发表过的学术论文或学术成果。
10、担保人有效证件的复印件及保证书原件。
11、4张2寸和4张1寸的近期免冠照片。
12、报名费银行汇款凭证（600元）
在提交以上报名材料的同时，请将报名费汇至：

注：1.以上材料请按上述顺序在左上角装订成册（一式两册）。
2.无论录取与否，上述报名费和申请材料均不退还。
3.学校可根据情况要求申请者提供补充材料或对申请者进行电话/视频面试。
4.以上申请材料需在申请截止日期前递交或邮寄到河北工业大学国际教育学院。申请材料不全者不予受理，通过电子邮件发送的申请材料无效。
六、录取及通知：
1、学校对申请人的申请材料进行评审，择优录取。
2、国际教育学院将在2017年7月下旬以前向被录取者寄发《录取通知书》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》等材料，录取结果届时将在河北工业大学国际教育学院院网上发布。
七、入学报到：
被录取者应持普通护照、《录取通知书》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》前往中国驻外使（领）馆办理入境学习（X1）签证，并持以上材料按录取通知书上规定的时间到河北工业大学报到。申请时递交在学证明的学生，入学时需补交学历证明原件或公证件，不能提供者，将被取消入学资格。
八、请假：被录取的申请者要在规定的时间到河北工业大学国际教育学院报到。因故不能按期入学者，需提前向国际教育学院请假，假期一般不得超过两周。未请假或逾期者，除因不可抗力等正当事由以外，视为放弃入学资格。
九、住宿：河北工业大学拥有不同规格和条件的留学生公寓，住宿标准为2人间。
Postgraduate Majors
Courses of Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) PhD majors are mostly taught in Chinese (some could be taught in English). Students will obtain a PhD degree if they finish required courses and meet all degree certificate issuance requirements in 3-4 years. HEBUT encourages applicants to contact related major supervisors in advance.
Application Deadline
Application paper documents shall be received before the deadline, June 20, 2017.
Application fee: 600 yuan
Tuition fee:28,000 RMB/Year for Economic and Management Programs/ Majors
30,000 RMB/ Year for Science and Engineering Programs/ Majors
Accommodation fee: Live on campus (double room- 30 yuan/bed/day; single room- 50 yuan/bed/day)
Application Qualifications
1. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports.
2. Applicants shall be in good health and conduct，and shall abide by China's laws and regulations and also HEBUT regulations.
3. Applicants shall have obtained Master’s degree under the age of 45 (Age requirements for applicants with good health, certain work experience and academic research ability can be lowered.)
4. Majors taught in Chinese: Language ability should be on HSK 4 score of over 190, or above HSK 5
5. Majors taught in English have no Chinese language level requirements for applicants. While applicants from non-English speaking countries shall have a TOEFL score of at least 85 or an IELTS score of at least 6.
Application Materials
1.Fully completed HEBUT International Students Admission Application Form
2. Photocopy of Personal Ordinary Passport
3. Letter of Acceptance from the Supervisor for HEBUT International Students
4. The notarized highest education certificate and transcript. If applicants are university students, they shall also provide studying certificates from their university. After being admitted, they shall submit the original copy of or notarized diploma certificate.
5. Photocopy of Foreigners Physical Check Record
6. Applicants for majors taught in Chinese shall submit photocopies of HSK certificates. Applicants for majors taught in English shall submit certificate of TOEFL or IELTS score.
7. Study and research project plan written in Chinese or English (no less than 800 words).
8. Two letters of recommendation by professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English)
9. Published academic papers or achievements (If any).
10. Valid photocopy of guarantor's ID and original copy of the letter of guarantee.
11.2 -inch for 4 and 1 -inch for 4 recently bareheaded photos
12.Remittance Receipt of RMB 600 for application

NOTE:
1. Application materials shall be bound together on the top left corner in the order listed above. (In duplicate)
2. Application fee and materials listed above will not be returned regardless of the result of application.
3. Depending on the situation, HEBUT can ask applicants to provide supplementary materials or interview applicants over telephone or video.
4. Application materials listed above shall be submitted in person or by post to School of International Education of HEBUT before the posted deadline. Applicants with uncompleted materials will be rejected and materials submitted via Email are invalid.
Admission and Notice
1. HEBUT will reviewed the application materials and choose the suitable applicants.
2. School of International Education will send to qualified applicants Admission Notice and Visa application form for Study in China. Application results will be released on the official site of School of International Education.
Registration
Applicants who have been enrolled should apply for the student visa (X visa) to Chinese Embassy with the Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China and register at HEBUT according to the dates specified in the Letter of Admission with these documents. Applicants who have submitted studying certificates during the application process shall provide the original copy or notarized studying certificate, without which admission will be canceled.
Asking for Leave
Applicants who have been enrolled shall register at School of International Education within required time. Applicants who fail to register on time shall ask for leave(no more than 2 weeks) from the School of International Education. Except for circumstances beyond one's control, applicants who do not register on time without asking for leave shall be deemed to abandon the admission.
Accommodation
HEBUT provides apartments of various sizes and conditions for International students. Accommodation standard is double room.
